Its a flying man!

I freakin loved this movie as a kid. I watched the making of special on HBO when this movie was coming out. I had the Movie special magazine. And I went out and had my mom get me a Rocketeer comic. (Little did I know how hard to find those things were.) And in honor of the recently passed Dave Stevens. This is my rendition of the Rocketeer. Its been a while since I posted last so it felt good to get on the pc and coloe this thing up.

BatMania

Everybody else has got the fever, I'm no exception. Loved the movie (other than it was just so darn long.) I just read The Batman Detective Trade by Paul Dini. man was that awesome. A new complete story in each issue. So cool. Anyway it inspired this Wacom tablet drawing of ol' Bats. And this sketchbook brush pen drawing too. Thanks to hydrogenhighway.com city image in the bg. I am working on my backgrounds and architecture. It is the achilles heel of many aspiring cartoonists. I won't let it be mine. But..until then I will cheat in this drawing.

God of War

I love this darn blogging thing. I finally have an outlet for my random sketches I do all the time and a reason to finish them up. Well this quick Kratos sketch I did in the car in about 5 minutes or so. I inked it with my brush pen in about 2 minutes and I took about a half hour to color it. I think it turned out aiight. It has the quick rough look that I like sometimes and I think its fitting to the character. I just love the character by the way and I love the game too. Peace out. God of War kicks booty!

Son of Odin

I dont know exactly when it happened but sometime about a year ago I became a big Thor fan. I never read the comics or was much interested in him back in my early comic fandom. I think it was when I saw the conept art of the new Olivier Coipel drawn series. Aw man. I became a Thorite. Well I started working on this drawing a while back, like months and months back. But I only finished within the past couple months. So here it is, I figured this was the perfect platform to show it. Whaddyathink? I think its Randy cartoonesque.

This aint Six Flaggs

Wsup errbody. I did this little caricature of my cousin for his birthday. I don't have that traditional caricature formula they use in Amusement Parks,I just kind odf draw in my style. You'd have to know him to get it but I think its funny. And I think it turned out pretty decent. Putting things up here is such a good exercise for my drawing skills and I love it. Oh by the way, I know its old now but I just saw Anchorman for the first time last night. Hot da*n that movie is funny! TTFN good people.
